Treasure Trekkers: A Monkey Follows a Magic Map

Treasure Trekkers: A Monkey Follows a Magic Map

Treasure Trekkers is a 2026 computer-animated adventure film about a monkey on a journey to discover that the true riches in life aren't made of gold. It is the story of Mip, a 12 year old adopted monkey who is different from everyone in his community.

Mip has always felt different, and one day a magical map whisked him off to a land called Empathra where he meets new people and overcomes challenges to finally discover who he truly is.

The film is directed by Kevin Munroe. Mip is voiced by Greg Cipes with supporting cast members Meredith Bull, Alan Cumming, Jack McBrayer, Tara Strong and John DiMaggio.

The movie is currently scheduled for release on October 9th, 2026.

Mip is a monkey among cats and rodents, and that difference has made him wonder what his true origins are.

Then a magical map changes his life.

The map doesn't point to the location of treasure like all others. Instead, it takes Mip to a new land called Empathra. This gives the film a familiar adventure structure, and a new dimension of focusing on finding one's identity.

For those finding the film through entertainment searches including 'move box', this film has been made primarily as a theatrical, animated adventure for children and families.

The Magical Map Leads to Empathra

Empathra is Mip's main magical fantasy location.

It is not just a generic location filled with loot. In current synopses, it is said to be a place with no compassion, and Mip is its first visitor in a very long time, and therefore brings something very special and important to the land, even if he doesn't understand it.

Mip learns a lot about himself and the new world, and in the process, even learns about himself and what kind of person he really is.

He learns about and receives a special power, along with others, focused on empathy.

For audiences searching terms such as moviebox premium apk uptodown, it is useful to separate those general searches from confirmed release information: Treasure Trekkers has an official theatrical rollout beginning in October.

Because Mip is not a hardened hero and learns to be more empathetic, the strength of his empathy becomes his most powerful ability. This is the main emotional focus of the movie, and what drives home the message about being and listening to your feelings.

There are a lot of fantastic characters to support the main character Mip, and give a well rounded, emotional narrative with a message for all audiences, and not just kids.

Greg Cipes Voices Mip

Greg Cipes is the voice of Mip.

Aside from being very animated, and able to show and project different emotions, Greg has the perfect voice for the role.

Meredith Bull voices Mac, while the supporting cast is rounded out by Alan Cumming, Jack McBrayer, Tara Strong and John DiMaggio.

Alan Cumming is the voice of King Clarence.

That gives Mip's journey an external obstacle as well as a personal goal.

He will have to deal with people who may be after the same prizes as him and for different reasons as well.

Mip's inner ability to demonstrate kindness and compassion become his most powerful weapon. In the movie, Mip fights to return compassion to a world that has lost it. The fact that Mip is an atypical hero makes the movie unique.

Mip isn't trying to be physically stronger than everyone else. He is trying to be kinder and more compassionate. Therefore, it can be said that the goal of the movie is to showcase that a kinder world is definitely possible, not that it may need to be shown. We are all in need of showing a bit more compassion and kindness.

If there are parents out there searching for a family movie that shows a positive message, then they may want to see this movie for themselves. This is probably going to be one of the major selling points of the movie for the parental audience.

Search queries like "moviebox premium apk uptodown" show broader interest in the subject but not necessarily confirmation that an audience member has located a release. For this reason, it's useful to provide release information separately. For example, the theatrical release of Treasure Trekkers begins in October.

Treasure Trekkers to Open October 9

According to IMDb and other verified listings, the theatrical release of Treasure Trekkers is set to begin on October 9, 2026. This is in line with the dates released by Viva Pictures, the U.S. distributors.

At its core, Trekkers is about a character named Mip, who, like many of us, questions where he belongs.

The map may hold the answers to his past, but in the journey he comes to learn what gives him value instead.

The film has a hidden background, fantasy locations, talking animals, and treasure hunts. All of these provide the canvas for empathy, and form the basis for a family adventure.

Mip sets off to trace his past, but the key message is that often kind people are powerful people.
